Hormone health influences far more than libido alone. Testosterone and related hormones affect energy, mood, recovery, resilience, motivation, muscle health, metabolism, and overall wellbeing.
Modern lifestyle factors can influence male hormone balance. These include chronic stress, poor sleep, inflammation, environmental toxins, alcohol intake, metabolic dysfunction, overtraining, and nutritional deficiencies.
This advanced Male Hormone Health Check measures key hormone and endocrine markers using an at-home finger prick blood sample.
Functional medicine practitioners assess hormone patterns in context rather than looking at testosterone alone. This includes hormone signalling, hormone availability, adrenal health, stress patterns, and metabolic health.
An Integrative Medicine doctor will review and interpret your results because some biomarkers may indicate clinically significant hormone imbalances or endocrine dysfunction. Your test includes a 20 minute consultation to help you understand your results and move forward with confidence.
This test may suit adult men who:
Testosterone & Hormone Availability: Assesses testosterone levels and how testosterone is transported and made available within the body including Free Testosterone (FTEST), Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) & Albumin (ALB)
Hormone Signalling & Endocrine Function: Assesses hormone signalling pathways involved in testosterone production and reproductive hormone regulation including Luteinizing Hormone (LH), Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH) & Prolactin (PROL)
Adrenal & Hormone Support: Assesses adrenal hormone function and androgen support pathways including Dehydroepiandrosterone Sulphate (DHEAS)
You will receive a capillary blood collection kit delivered directly to your home with full instructions included.

Be aware:
This is not a dried blood spot test. You must collect a sufficient volume of liquid blood into the collection tubes by encouraging blood flow from the finger.
If you submit an insufficient sample, the laboratory may not be able to process your test. Recollection may then be required at additional cost.
This test may not suit individuals with bleeding or clotting disorders, those taking anticoagulants, individuals using immunosuppressive medication, or those undergoing chemotherapy.

Some tests require you to return the sample on specific days or immediately after collection. We offer functional testing with and without practitioner interpretation. You can filter tests by consultation on the Functional Testing page. Certain tests, especially those involving clinically significant biomarkers, are only available with interpretation, and some require interpretation by an Integrative Medicine Doctor. We’ll ensure you’re seen by the right practitioner when your results are in. You can purchase a consultation later if you choose standalone testing, but we offer preferential rates for booking upfront.
We provide functional testing to help you make informed health decisions but do not offer medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Results are interpreted through a nutritional, lifestyle, and functional medicine perspective, and it is your responsibility to seek further evaluation, diagnosis or treatment from your primary healthcare provider.
Your digital results report will include indicators of how your specific results differ or align with ‘optimal’ ranges in functional medicine. Some reports include an element of written interpretation. If you’ve purchased a consultation we’ll explain your results and interpret them from a nutritional, lifestyle and functional medicine perspective. We may offer suggestions about how Integrative or Functional Medicine can help and can refer you for full consultation or Integrative Health Assessment with a relevant practitioner if desired. If your test includes a clinically significant biomarker and your result is abnormal, we’ll direct you to consult your primary healthcare provider. If you haven’t purchased a consultation and you’re concerned about your results, you’ll be able to opt-in at this stage.
