This advanced Hair Mineral Analysis test offers a unique long-term view of toxic element exposure and mineral balance that standard blood testing may miss. While blood tests often reflect recent exposure, hair tissue mineral analysis can reveal patterns that build gradually over time, making it particularly valuable for identifying chronic environmental exposures and ongoing mineral imbalances.
The test helps uncover potential contributors to symptoms that can otherwise feel vague or difficult to explain. These may include fatigue, brain fog, poor concentration, low mood, depression, headaches, hair loss, poor detoxification, and sensitivity to chemicals or environmental triggers.
By measuring both toxic metals and essential minerals together, the test provides a more complete picture of how nutrient status, toxic burden, and detoxification pathways may interact. This can help guide more personalised decisions around nutrition, supplementation, detoxification support, lifestyle changes, and reducing environmental exposures.
Hair Mineral Analysis also offers a simple, non-invasive alternative for children or for individuals who may not feel comfortable undergoing blood testing.
Adults and children interested in assessing heavy metal exposure, mineral balance, detoxification capacity, and nutrient status.
Anyone experiencing:
Toxic Heavy Metals: Assesses exposure to 12 potentially toxic elements including arsenic, mercury, lead, cadmium, aluminium, and barium that may impact neurological, metabolic, immune, and detoxification function.
Essential Minerals & Nutrient Status: Measures 15 key minerals involved in energy production, nervous system function, hormone balance, detoxification, and cellular health.
Detoxification & Metabolic Function: Evaluates 10 elements involved in detoxification pathways, antioxidant activity, metabolic balance, and cellular protection.
Element Ratios & Functional Patterns: Assesses important mineral relationships linked to stress response, detoxification capacity, adrenal function, and metabolic balance.

We offer functional testing with and without practitioner interpretation. You can filter tests by consultation on the Functional Testing page. Certain tests, especially those involving clinically significant biomarkers, are only available with interpretation, and some require interpretation by an Integrative Medicine Doctor. We’ll ensure you’re seen by the right practitioner when your results are in. You can purchase a consultation later if you choose standalone testing, but we offer preferential rates for booking upfront.
We provide functional testing to help you make informed health decisions but do not offer medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Results are interpreted through a nutritional, lifestyle, and functional medicine perspective, and it is your responsibility to seek further evaluation, diagnosis or treatment from your primary healthcare provider.
Your digital results report will include indicators of how your specific results differ or align with ‘optimal’ ranges in functional medicine. Some reports include an element of written interpretation. If you’ve purchased a consultation we’ll explain your results and interpret them from a nutritional, lifestyle and functional medicine perspective. We may offer suggestions about how Integrative or Functional Medicine can help and can refer you for full consultation or Integrative Health Assessment with a relevant practitioner if desired. If your test includes a clinically significant biomarker and your result is abnormal, we’ll direct you to consult your primary healthcare provider. If you haven’t purchased a consultation and you’re concerned about your results, you’ll be able to opt-in at this stage.
